One great thing about social media, it is a platform that bridged the distance between you and your loved ones who are living away from home. You get to communicate with them anytime of the day and anywhere you are. All we need is internet access.
That aside, do you know how most people view social media? Some view it as a separate world where the hypes are real, while others think of it as a place with potential opportunities, and that with little effort one can be an instant star. Furthermore, some even think of it as a place where you can get a lot of attention from people you care less in real life.
Quite amazing to conceive isn’t it? No wonder it is very addictive. But do you know that social media can give you a disease?
Are you one of those self-proclaimed gurus or smartphone alert lovers which can’t go more than a few minutes without looking at Facebook mentions, likes and Twitter re-tweets? How long can you go without checking your phone? How often do you send out tweets that are purposely misspelled?
There’s no shame if you have this disease and it’s not contageous, so no worries. In fact, all of us are as bad as the person next to them and nobody is perfect.
